HEAD EXTREME LITE PADDLE REVIEW

Grip Size: 4 1/4"
Grip Length: 5"
I'm Sue Grossardt of Green Bay, Wisconsin and have been enjoying the game of pickleball for about three years. I play about three times a week at a 4.0 level...and, honestly, some days are better than others.
I have been looking for a lighter weight paddle wondering if that would offer a different dimension to my game. The fact that the Head Extreme Lite is 7.2 oz. seemed to be a significant change relative to other paddles that I have used. I love this paddle!
This paddle has an ideal blend of control and power. I usually play with an oblong-shaped paddle so I anticipated an adjstment period given the unique shape of the Head Expreme Lite. There was essentially no adjustment period.
The Head Expteme Lite also talks about a "pop" on the hitting surface and I sensed that. I was impressed with the control that I was able to maintain in two scenarios: in the short dinking game and in the third shot drop.
Another feature that the Head Extreme Lite boasts about is the "Extreme Spin Texture" which improves the'bite' on the ball which would help those who add back spin on returns, dink shots and really any other shots.
I would say that the longer grip offered limited benefit to me personally and the Ergo Grip was very comparable to other grips I have played with.
My overall impression was very positive and I would recomment this paddle to anyone who wants a lighter swing while gaining improved control and the bonus of the "pop" on impact.
A big thank you to Pickklebal Central for the chance to review this paddle. It's so fun to think through and experience the attributes of a new paddle!
